It encourages mucking about with the combo system and really eases you into getting better via Alfheims and certain angel encounters (Glorious and Gracious springs to mind). Hard mode really forces you to put into practice things your brain sort of figured you could do/try subconsciously but didn't have the heart to try and Non-stop 8 Climax mode is just a game changer again.

So much to do in this. I haven't even unlocked stuff like Angel Slayer mode or done platinums on all the stages in normal or hard. So much stuff to do before I finally put it down.

You also won't be disappointed in the futurepress guide. It truly does rock.

Re: A Bayonetta Video

If you were to break Bayonetta down into 50 bullet points, I would hate everyone of them. Somehow, though, they are just combined in the most ridiculous way and the sum is exponentially better than the individual parts. I actually played through the game on Normal, Hard and Infinite Climax mode and I had not finished a Ninja Gaiden or Devil May Cry game previously.

I credit the success of Bayonetta to its excellent training process. It rolls out new moves in such a intuitive manner that you cannot help but get better at the game. I was never once tempted to button mash.

Now, after beating the game 3 times, I am going to go out and get the guide for it? This game is like crack cocaine.

Re: Bayonetta Guide Get!

I agree completely. Definite GOTY contender for sure. I don't get how anyone can actually play this game and not grin from ear-to-ear once you actually accomplish a well-orchestrated fight sequence. Or, even just by using the taunts. I can't even remember my in-game name, but it's likely to have been Parthon. Even though I was a City-born, I spent most of my time in the dream world, mainly mastering the commonly ignored shaping abilities of conjuration and evocation.

I still remember this game as having the most engaging storylines backed up by solid gameplay. The two worlds were great, even just for a change of pace from either one. The only downside was the lack of players.

It's definately a game that deserves to be recreated anew. Is there anything happening with that?

Re: http://www.somekillgiants.com/2009/08/05/611/

Thank you for the sound critique. And besides, a lot of those posts are probably made by angry Pes lovers who expected more, like my brother for instance who said the same thing. But he's beginning 2 sing a different tune now that he's played both versions for a while now. As a soccer fan, the new fifa games kinda suck. So...to answer ur question Wale: N...O...NO, i certainly don't agree!

Re: PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2010!

From what I hear, as at fifa2009, fifa has changed completely and now out-pes-es pes!

Personally, I try to stay on the programming end of things. My layout and design skills aren't horrible but I don't feel it is my forte.

We will be needing a web site, for community purposes as well as web administration of the game. I was wondering if you have this talent and might be willing to work on it?

Re: VR1 Crossroads – In Memoriam

Hey Doug!

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad people still remember Crossroads, and it's funny seeing all that story bible stuff since, of course, I wrote it... nice to know someone still enjoys it. Just curious - you said "I'll repost this and see how long it takes to get a cease and desist order." Did you ever get such a letter in the past? I honestly don't know if Jaleco still exists in any meaningful form or if they care.

Take care!
